{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-272.231","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 272.231","heading":"Interest of association in other associations.","body":"An association may organize, form, acquire, operate, own, control, have an interest in,\nown all or a portion of the stock of, or be the sole member of any other association,\nforeign association or corporation (hereinafter referred to as a subsidiary associ ation). An\nassociation may have included in the articles of incorporation or bylaws of a subsidiary\nassociation provisions for the control or management of the subsidiary association by the\nassociation to such extent as shall by the board of the association, and the members of the\nsubsidiary association be declared to be for the best interests of the association and the\nsubsidiary association, respectively. Such provisions may be so included in the articles of\nincorporation or bylaws of a subsidiary associa tion and may by way of illustration, but\nnot of limitation, include the following:\n(1) Representation of the association on the board or other governing body of the\nsubsidiary association, upon such terms as may be deemed advisable.\n(2) Ownership by the association of the sole or other interest in the subsidiary\nassociation represented by capital stock of any class thereof or otherwise, to such\nextent and upon such terms, and with such voting power, as may be deemed\nadvisable.\n(3) Participation by the as sociation in the savings of the subsidiary association to such\nextent and upon such terms as shall be deemed advisable.","path":["KRS Chapter 272"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=13537","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:53:21Z","sha256":"c29be0aa30e9e2e0c47927f1db11975ba9e9af09e8e6d89aaaec151fd5643a48","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-272.230","next":"us-ky/krs-272.240"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
