{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-272.480","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 272.480","heading":"Other corporations may become livestock protective associations --","body":"Procedure.\n(1) Any corporation or association organized under previously existing statutes may, by\na majority vote of its members, be brought under the provisions of KRS 272.360 to\n272.510 by limiting its membership and adopting the other restrictions as provided\nherein. It shall make out in duplicate a statement signed and sworn to by its\ndirectors to the effect that the corporation or association has, by a majority vote of\nthe members, decided to accept the benefits and be bound by the provisions of KRS\n272.360 to 272.510 and has authorized all changes accordingly. Articles of\nincorporation shall be filed as herein required except that they shall be signed by the\nmembers of the then board of directors. The filing fee shall be the same as for filing\nan amendment to articles of incorporation.\n(2) Where any association may be incorporated under KRS 272.360 to 272.510, all\ncontracts heretofore made by or on behalf of same by the promoters thereof in\nanticipation of such association becoming incorporated under the laws of this state,\nwhether such contracts be made by or in the name of some corporation organized\nelsewhere and when same would have been valid if entered into subsequent to the\npassage of KRS 272.360 to 272.510, are hereby validated as if made after the\npassage of those sections.","path":["KRS Chapter 272"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=13581","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:53:21Z","sha256":"30e3b5f8c2b3496a1558080ec348ae48ae96ddd576b577abccc44b610d8e6089","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-272.470","next":"us-ky/krs-272.490"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
