{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-272a.8-070","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 272A.8-070","heading":"Removal of director.","body":"(1) Members may remove a director with or without cause.\n(2) A member or members holding at least ten percent (10%) of the total voting power\nentitled to be voted in the election of a director may demand removal of the director\nby one (1) or more signed petiti ons submitted to the officer of the limited\ncooperative association charged with keeping its records.\n(3) Upon receipt of a petition for removal of a director, an officer of the association or\nthe board of directors shall:\n(a) Call a special meeting of mem bers to be held not later than forty -five (45)\ndays after receipt of the petition by the association; and\n(b) Mail or otherwise transmit or deliver in a record to the members entitled to\nvote on the removal, and to the director to be removed, notice of the  meeting\nwhich complies with KRS 272A.5-070.\n(4) A director is removed if the votes in favor of removal are equal to or greater than\nthe votes required to elect the director.","path":[],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=41036","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:53:22Z","sha256":"2351c93abe1efedaf6eaff163f8d76d0fece3b0ba5454cc50a795f39c217924d","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-272a.8-060","next":"us-ky/krs-272a.8-080"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
