{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-272a.8-080","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 272A.8-080","heading":"Suspension of director by board.","body":"(1) A board of directors may suspend a director if, considering the director's course of\nconduct and the inadequacy of other available remedies, immediate suspension is\nnecessary for the best interests of the association and the director is engaging, or has\nengaged, in:\n(a) Fraudulent conduct with respect to the association or its members;\n(b) Gross abuse of the position of director;\n(c) Intentional or reckless infliction of harm on the association; or\n(d) Any other behavior, act, or omission as provided by the organic rules.\n(2) A suspension under subsection (1) of this section is effective for thirty (30) days\nunless the board of directors calls and gives notice of a special meeting of members\nfor removal of the director before the end of the thirty (30) day p eriod, in which\ncase the suspension is effective until adjournment of the meeting or the director is\nremoved.","path":[],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=41037","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:53:22Z","sha256":"f845a668f44133d6f6f49de63726dd0285be6920cb150417cfea83ef9e9023a0","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-272a.8-070","next":"us-ky/krs-272a.8-090"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
