{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-272a.8-090","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 272A.8-090","heading":"Vacancy on board.","body":"(1) Unless the organic rules otherwise provide, a vacancy on the board of directors shall\nbe filled:\n(a) Within a reasonable time by majority vote of the remaining directors until the\nnext annual members meeting or a special meeting of members called to fill\nthe vacancy; and\n(b) For the unexpired term by members at the next annual members meeting or a\nspecial meeting of members called to fill the vacancy.\n(2) Unless the organic rules otherwise provide, if a vacating director was elected or\nappointed by a class of members or a district:\n(a) The new director shall be of that class or district; and\n(b) The selection of the director for the unexpired term shall be conducted in the\nsame manner as would the selection for that position without a vacancy.\n(3) If a membe r appointed a vacating director, the organic rules may provide for that\nmember to appoint a director to fill the vacancy.","path":[],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=41038","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:53:22Z","sha256":"f0366f627656884fe8513aca73d5ab3018cff32a567477ca3ad4e700475664b6","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-272a.8-080","next":"us-ky/krs-272a.8-100"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
