{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-272a.8-170","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 272A.8-170","heading":"Committees.","body":"(1) Unless the organic rules otherwise provide, a board of directors may create one (1)\nor more committees and appoint one (1) or more individuals to serve on a\ncommittee.\n(2) Unless the organic rules otherwise provide, an individual appointed to serve on a\ncommittee of a limited cooperative association need not be a director or member.\n(3) An individual who is not a director and is serving on a committee has the same\nrights, duties, and obligations as a director serving on the committee.\n(4) Unless the organic rules otherwise provide, each committee of a limited cooperative\nassociation may exercise the powers delegated to it by the board of directors, but a\ncommittee may not:\n(a) Approve allocations or distributions, except according to a formula or method\nprescribed by the board of directors;\n(b) Approve or propose to the members action requiring approval of the\nmembers; or\n(c) Fill vacancies on the board of directors or any of its committees.","path":[],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=41046","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:53:22Z","sha256":"1a0d63923bfaac39a62848631e3707b9188933014d3a48435849ed728d57090f","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-272a.8-160","next":"us-ky/krs-272a.8-180"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
