{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-273.410","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 273.410","heading":"Definitions.","body":"As used in KRS 273.405 to 273.453, unless the context otherwise requires:\n(1) \"Commission\" means the Legislative Research Commission.\n(2) \"Community action agency\" means a corporation organized for the purpose of\nalleviating poverty within a community or a rea by developing employment\nopportunities; by bettering the conditions under which people live, learn, and work;\nand by conducting, administering, and coordinating similar programs.\n(3) \"Designated review body\" means either:\n(a) Any interim joint committe e, as designated by the Commission at any time\nwhen the General Assembly is not in session, whose subject jurisdiction\nrelates to the block grant under review; or\n(b) Any interim joint committee, as designated by the Commission at any time\nwhen the General  Assembly is not in session, whose subject jurisdiction\nrelates to the block grant under review plus the Interim Joint Committee on\nAppropriations and Revenue; or\n(c) Any standing committee, as designated by the Committee on Committees\nduring any legislati ve session, whose subject jurisdiction relates to the block\ngrant under review; or\n(d) Any standing committee, as designated by the Committee on Committees\nduring any legislative session, whose subject jurisdiction relates to the block\ngrant under review p lus the Senate and House Standing Committees on\nAppropriations and Revenue.\n(4) \"Federal administering agency\" means any agency of the United States government\nadministering any block grant.\n(5) \"Federal act\" means the Omnibus Budget Reconciliation Act of 1981, P.L. 97 -35,\nand any amendments thereto, as the federal act relates to community services block\ngrants.\n(6) \"State administering agency\" means any agency of the Commonwealth designated\nby the Governor to apply for and administer funds made available u nder the federal\nact.","path":["KRS Chapter 273"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=13734","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:53:25Z","sha256":"92ee36e3d519ee1a075f27a59d36f56aa4c074f13083c1f90b4ac44fe9503e5f","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-273.405","next":"us-ky/krs-273.415"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
