{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-273.415","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 273.415","heading":"Organization -- Separate organizations to provide specific services","body":"otherwise unavailable.\n(1) A community action agency shall be organized and shall operate subject to the\nprovisions of KRS 273.405 to 273.453. To the extent KRS 273.405 to 273.453 are\ninconsistent with the provisions of this chapter, the provisions of KRS 273.405 to\n273.453 shall be controlling.\n(2) A community action agency shall be organized and operate subject to the provisions\nof KRS 65.210 through 65.300 and KRS 273.405 to 273.453.\n(3) One (1) or more community action agencies may form a separate organization to\nprovide a specific service that would be otherwise unavailable to low income\npersons within the community action agencies' service area. The board of any\norganization so fo rmed shall include local elected officials from the service area,\nrepresentatives of the private sector in the service area and representatives of the\ncommunity action agencies in the service area to ensure the representation of the\nlow income and target r esidents. Any organization so formed, serving as an\ninstrumentality of one (1) or more community action agencies, shall be eligible for\nassociate membership in any association of community action agencies consistent\nwith group bylaws, and shall be eligible  for benefits such as group insurance and\nretirement programs for which community action agencies are eligible, subject to\napproval by the association.","path":["KRS Chapter 273"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=13735","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:53:25Z","sha256":"df385f7a60989c422771f09c5401aa83c8ef71aa0020c7b6d49148d8c7e6e8a1","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-273.410","next":"us-ky/krs-273.420"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
