{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-273.991","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 273.991","heading":"Additional penalties for violation of KRS 506.010, 506.030, 506.040,","body":"521.020, or 521.050.\n(1) If a domestic nonprofit corporation is convicted of a violation of KRS 506.010,\n506.030, 506.040, 521.020, or 521.050, or if an officer, employee, or agent o f the\ncorporation violates any of those sections under circumstances which bring\ncorporate liability under KRS 502.050(1)(b), the court shall order that the charter of\nthe nonprofit corporation be suspended for a period of not more than five (5) years\nfor a first offense, ten (10) years for a second offense, and permanently for a third or\nsubsequent offense.\n(2) If a foreign nonprofit corporation is convicted of violating any section specified in\nsubsection (1) of this section, or if an officer, employee, o r agent of the corporation\nviolates any of those sections under circumstances which bring corporate liability\nunder KRS 502.050(1)(b), the court shall order that the nonprofit corporation not be\npermitted to do business in Kentucky for the appropriate peri od specified in\nsubsection (1) of this section.\n(3) The penalties specified in this section shall be in addition to any other penalty\nspecified by law for the commission of the offenses listed in subsection (1) of this\nsection.","path":["KRS Chapter 273"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=13779","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:53:25Z","sha256":"ef938dc20d7b53337fc9f4b1362a0570aca54098685ea3003bb33c2fdf44b337","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-273.990","next":"us-ky/krs-273a.005"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
