{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-273a.110","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 273A.110","heading":"Right of member or manager to information.","body":"(1) On reasonable notice and for a proper purpose, a member or manager of an\nunincorporated nonprofit association may inspect and copy during the\nunincorporated nonprofit association's regular operating hours, at a reasonable\nlocation specified by the associat ion, any record maintained by the association\nregarding its activities, financial condition, and other circumstances, to the extent\nthe information is material to the member's or manager's rights and duties under the\ngoverning principles.\n(2) An unincorporated nonprofit association may charge a person that makes a demand\nunder this section reasonable copying costs, limited to the costs of labor and\nmaterials.\n(3) The governing principles may impose reasonable limitations upon the inspection\nand use of any record of or information with respect to an unincorporated nonprofit\nassociation. Except as to limitations set forth in written governing principles to\nwhich a member or manager requesting information has assented, the association\nbears the burden of proof in demonstrating the reasonableness of any restrictions\nimposed.\n(4) A former member or manager shall be entitled to information to which the member\nor manager was entitled while a member or manager if the information pertains to\nthe period during which th e person was a member or manager, the former member\nor manager seeks the information in good faith, and the former member or manager\nsatisfies subsections (1) to (3) of this section.","path":["KRS Chapter 273A"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=44346","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:53:26Z","sha256":"27ea5239c5fe65936b53bf64eca28a744dace7c064ce67333a2396ee31cced27","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-273a.105","next":"us-ky/krs-273a.115"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
