{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-273a.135","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 273A.135","heading":"Transition concerning real and personal property.","body":"(1) If, before June 24, 2015, an interest in property was by terms of a transfer\npurportedly transferred to an unincorporated nonprofit association but under the law\nof this Commonwealth the interest did not vest in the association, or in one (1) or\nmore persons on behalf of the association under subsection (2) of this section, on\nJune 24, 2015, the interest vests in the association, unless the parties to the transfer\nhave treated the transfer as ineffective.\n(2) If, before June 24, 2015, an interest in propert y was by terms of a transfer\npurportedly transferred to an unincorporated nonprofit association but the interest\nwas vested in one (1) or more persons to hold the interest for or on behalf of the\nassociation or the members of the association, on or after J une 24, 2015, the\npersons, or their successors in interest, may transfer the interest to the association in\nits name, or the association may require that the interest be transferred to it in its\nname.","path":["KRS Chapter 273A"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=44351","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:53:26Z","sha256":"1be54c6670da22e19c2dbdcd2a9fbd525fe729a03c69488aa41327a303afbee4","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-273a.130","next":"us-ky/krs-273a.140"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
