{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-278.110","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 278.110","heading":"Additional employees -- Documents prepared by certain contracted","body":"persons filed in the record -- Testimony.\n(1) The commission acting through the executive director may employ such clerks,\nstenographers, rate experts, agents, special agents, engin eers, accountants, auditors,\ninspectors, lawyers, hearing examiners, experts and other classified service\nemployees and the commission may contract for services of persons in a\nprofessional or scientific capacity to make or conduct a hearing or a temporary  or\nspecial inquiry, investigation or examination as it deems necessary to carry out the\nprovisions of this chapter, or to perform the duties and exercise the powers\nconferred by law upon the commission.\n(2) (a) When the commission contracts for the servic es of a person in a professional\nor scientific capacity to conduct a hearing, temporary special inquiry,\ninvestigation, or examination, any nonprivileged final report or\nrecommendation prepared in fulfillment of the contract shall be filed within\nthe recor d for the case for which the final report or recommendation was\nprepared at the same time it is provided to the commission.\n(b) A contracted person who has prepared and submitted a final report or\nrecommendation pursuant to this subsection shall be require d to respond to\nany written information requests regarding the final report or\nrecommendation.
