{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-278.160","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 278.160","heading":"Utilities to file and display general schedules of rates and conditions for","body":"service -- Adherence to schedules -- Exclusion from disclosure of confidential\nor proprietary provisions in special contracts.\n(1) Under rules prescribed by the commission, ea ch utility shall file with the\ncommission, within such time and in such form as the commission designates,\nschedules showing all rates and conditions for service established by it and\ncollected or enforced. The utility shall keep copies of its schedules op en to public\ninspection under such rules as the commission prescribes.\n(2) No utility shall charge, demand, collect, or receive from any person a greater or less\ncompensation for any service rendered or to be rendered than that prescribed in its\nfiled sche dules, and no person shall receive any service from any utility for a\ncompensation greater or less than that prescribed in such schedules.\n(3) The provisions of this section do not require disclosure or publication of a provision\nof a special contract that  contains rates and conditions of service not filed in a\nutility's general schedule if such provision would otherwise be entitled to be\nexcluded from the application of KRS 61.870 to 61.884 under the provisions of\nKRS 61.878(1)(c)1.","path":["KRS Chapter 278"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=14066","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:53:29Z","sha256":"c75a094e076d83d319bfebab8b6ecb6c0fc95f4eada8b48b28ef876e966fe8c7","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-278.150","next":"us-ky/krs-278.170"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
