{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-278.2211","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 278.2211","heading":"Remedies for noncompliance utility and affiliate -- Access to records --","body":"Disallowance of costs -- Audit.\n(1) If the commission finds that a utility has not complied with any provision of this\nchapter for any transaction between a utility and its affi liate, or if a utility has failed\nto provide sufficient evidence of its compliance, then the commission may:\n(a) Access the books and records of a utility's nonregulated affiliate; and\n(b) Order that the costs attached to any transactions be disallowed from rates.\n(2) If, after inspecting an affiliate's books and records, the commission finds that a\nutility has not complied with any provision of KRS 278.010 to 278.450, the\ncommission may perform a financial audit of the utility's affiliate to the extent\nnecessary to ensure compliance with KRS 278.010 to 278.450.","path":["KRS Chapter 278"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=14086","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:53:30Z","sha256":"202b678aad1e79168b12201a05b65aadb911c17cab5b0e667bac64eefda0655c","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-278.2209","next":"us-ky/krs-278.2213"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
