{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-278.682","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 278.682","heading":"Securitized surcharges to be line-itemed on customer billing.","body":"(1) If the commission has approved an electric utility's financing order and\nsecuritization bonds are issued on the electric utility's behalf, the electric utility\nshall:\n(a) Explicitly state on the customer's bill the portion of securitized surcharges\napplicable to the rate class as approved in the financing order issued to the\nelectric utility; and\n(b) Include the securitized surcharge on each customer's bill as a separate line\nitem and include both the base rate for the customer's electricity and the\namount of the surcharge.\n(2) If the securitized property has been transferred to an assignee, the customer bill\nshall include a statement that the assignee is the owner of the rights to securitized\nsurcharges, and the electric utility or other entity, if applicable, is acting as a\ncollection agent or servicer for the assignee.\n(3) Each tariff of the electric utility with a commission -approved financing order shall\nindicate the applicable securitized surcharge and the ownership of the surcharge.","path":["KRS Chapter 278"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=53806","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:53:31Z","sha256":"a2af4498fd8fe87b07bff49505ee7e05d98324578c0226b4aa237d2f68d0ff39","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-278.680","next":"us-ky/krs-278.684"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
