{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-279.125","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 279.125","heading":"Transmission, distribution or sale of energy to municipally owned electric","body":"utility -- Exceptions.\nNotwithstanding the provisions of any other section of the Kentucky Revised Statutes,\nunless specific authorization is granted by the Public Service Commission, no corporation\nformed under this chapter shall transmit, distribute or furnish electric energy for resale,\neither directly or indirectly, to any electric utility now or hereafter owned or controlled, in\nwhole or in part, by any municipality or muni cipalities, or instrumentalities thereof,\nincorporated on June 21, 1974, except to any such electric utility to which such\ncorporation's electric facilities are physically connected on June 21, 1974; and provided,\nfurther, that no provision herein shall pr event a corporation organized under this chapter\nfrom interconnecting for exchanges of energy with any such municipal utility which, on\nJune 21, 1974, owns and operates electric generating facilities adequate to supply the\nelectric requirements of the muni cipality.
