{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-27a.420","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 27A.420","heading":"Sentencing level relating to plea bargaining.","body":"The sentencing level of the system shall consist of at least the following information in\nregard to plea bargaining:\n(1) Did the defendant plead guilty to any offense in exchange for a lesser penalty or in\nexchange for dropping other charges against him;\n(2) If the answer to subsection (1) of this section is yes:\n(a) What offenses and levels of offense was a guilty plea accepted to; list each\nseparately; and\n(b) What offenses and levels of offense were dismissed in exchange for a plea of\nguilty; list each separately;\n(3) What punishment was imposed for each offense for which a plea of guilty was\naccepted in exchange for a lesser penalty or in exchange for dropping charges:\n(a) Imprisonment; list offense and term of imprisonment for each offense\nseparately; and\n(b) Fine; list offense, and amount of fine for each offense separately;\n(4) Was probation, suspended sentence or any other nonimposition of sentence imposed\nfor any offense where a plea of guilty was made in exchange for a lesser penalty or\nin exchange for dropping other charges:\n(a) Describe each separately; and\n(b) Describe any conditions placed upon each; list separately.","path":["KRS Chapter 27A"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=20962","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:48:47Z","sha256":"512814024999412909547f260a07ba09bed78060b6abc89258b1356703734e8a","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-27a.410","next":"us-ky/krs-27a.430"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
