{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-281.876","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 281.876","heading":"Waiving of notice requirement with physician verification.","body":"(1) The cabinet shall require and shall ensure that all brokers shall permit a person to\nrequest and receive human service transportation with less than the time notice\nestablished by administrative regulation for scheduling transportation services if the\nperson's physician submits verification to the broker that the person needs to be\nseen by the physician or another physician to whom the person is being referred for\nmedical treatment. A broker who violates the provisions of this subsection shall be\nfined one thousand dollars ($1,000) and shall be subject to his or her contract being\nrevoked by the cabinet.\n(2) The physician verification required under subsection (1) of this section may be\ntransmitted in any of the following methods:\n(a) Oral verification over the telephone;\n(b) Written verification transmitted electronically by computer or by facsimile; or\n(c) Written verification delivered by the person directly to the broker or\nsubcontractor.","path":["KRS Chapter 281"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=14445","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:53:34Z","sha256":"56f3aa24362d309db4831609b540b14b13fbd15f876081c014fa34ef63444b5b","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-281.875","next":"us-ky/krs-281.877"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
