{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-281.900","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 281.900","heading":"Kentucky Motor Carrier Advisory Committee -- Membership.","body":"(1) The Kentucky Motor Carrier Advisory Committee is created as an agency of the\nCommonwealth to carry out the functions and duties conferred upon it by KRS\n281.905.\n(2) The committee shall consist of the secretary of the Transportation Cabinet, the\nsecretary of the Finance and Administration Cabinet, the Speaker of the House, the\nPresident of the Senate, or their respective designated representatives, and nine (9)\nrepresentatives of the motor carrier industry engaged in operations in the\nCommonwealth in the transportation of persons or property.\n(3) On July 15, 1990, the Governor shall appoint the motor carrier industry\nrepresentative to the committee. Members shall be appointed by the Governor for\nthree (3) years, except that initial appointments to the board shall be staggered in the\nfollowing manner:\n(a) Three (3) members shall serve for a period of one (1) year;\n(b) Three (3) members shall serve for a period of two (2) years; and\n(c) Three (3) members shall serve for a period of three (3) years.\n(4) Motor ca rrier industry representatives of the committee shall qualify for\nmembership by taking the constitutional oath of office and shall be provided with\ncertificates of appointments.
