{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-281a.050","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 281A.050","heading":"Drivers excluded from operation of chapter.","body":"The provisions of this chapter shall not apply to:\n(1) Drivers of firefighting and other emergency equipment;\n(2) Drivers of commercial motor vehicles if those persons are:\n(a) Military personnel; and\n(b) Operating the vehicles in pursuit of a military purpose;\n(3) Drivers of farm vehicles that are:\n(a) Used to transport agricultural products, farm machinery, or farm supplies to or\nfrom a farm;\n(b) Not used in the operations of a common or contract motor carrier;\n(c) Used within one hundred fifty (150) highway miles of the farmer's farm; and\n(d) Controlled and operated by a farmer, including operation by employees or\nfamily members; and\n(4) Drivers of vehicles that:\n(a) Are designed as temporary living quarters for recreational, camping, or travel\nuse; and\n(b) Operate on their own motor power or are mounted on or drawn by another\nvehicle.","path":["KRS Chapter 281A"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=14463","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:53:35Z","sha256":"97786f1964e1e75dc2f3d08305fb45c4814636f1be80dc8b01f17e86fc75316d","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-281a.040","next":"us-ky/krs-281a.052"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
