{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-281a.320","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 281A.320","heading":"Applications for renewal and endorsement of commercial driver's","body":"licenses -- Information for criminal background check -- Fees.\nAny person initially renewing a commercial driver's license or adding an endorsement\nafter September 30, 2002, shall a pply for the renewal at least thirty (30) days prior to the\nexpiration date of the license. The purpose of the early renewal procedures is to ensure\nthe criminal history background check required under KRS 281A.300 may be completed\nprior to the expiration date on the license. A person may obtain the information necessary\nto conduct the criminal history background check from the cabinet. If the person has a\nlaw enforcement agency other than the State Police conduct the background check, the\nlaw enforcement agency may charge the person a nonrefundable fee for the service.
