{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-286.3-850","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 286.3-850","heading":"Definitions for KRS 286.3-852 to 286.3-884.","body":"As used in KRS 286.3-852 to 286.3-884:\n(1) \"Bank\" means any state bank;\n(2) \"FDIC\" means the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation and includes any\nsuccessor to the corporation or other agency or instrumentality of the United States\nwhich undertakes to discharge the purposes of the corporation;\n(3) \"Receivership court\" means the Circuit Court for the county in which the bank is\nlocated, except if no circuit judge in the Circuit Court of the county in which the\nbank is located is able or available to preside over the receivership at the time an\napplication is made under KRS 286.3 -854 due to a conflict of interest or another\nreason, the circuit clerk of the county in which the bank is located shall at once\ntransfer the matter to the Franklin Circuit Court for immediate action upon the\napplication; and\n(4) \"Insolvent\" means that appearing upon examination of any bank its liabilities\nexceed its assets or it cannot meet its obligations in the usual and ordinary course of\nbusiness for any reason.","path":[],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=55161","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:57:11Z","sha256":"7d1f85d05a7d9d245b1050baea2e4419d576fb98f4959834a89484d8b3e40471","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-286.3-820","next":"us-ky/krs-286.3-852"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
