{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-286.9-120","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 286.9-120","heading":"Administrative complaint -- Hearing for denial, suspension, or","body":"revocation of license.\n(1) The commissioner may file an administrative complaint against any person if it\nappears on grounds satisfactory to the commissioner that a potential or actual\nviolation of this subtitle has been committed and when the person may be subject to\nthe penalties of KRS 286.9-071, 286.9-110, and 286.9-991. The commissioner shall\nserve the administrative complaint to the last known address of the person named in\nthe comp laint. Service shall be by certified mail or personal delivery. The person\nnamed in the administrative complaint shall be entitled to an administrative hearing\nconducted in accordance with KRS Chapter 13B but only upon timely receipt of a\nwritten answer and request for an administrative hearing within twenty (20) days of\nthe mailing or hand delivery of the administrative complaint. If timely requested, an\nadministrative hearing shall be held in accordance with the provisions of KRS\nChapter 13B. If an answer  is not timely filed, or a written request for a hearing is\nnot timely filed, the commissioner may enter a final order.\n(2) No license shall be denied, limited, conditioned, restricted, probated, suspended, or\nrevoked unless the applicant or licensee is af forded the opportunity for a hearing to\nbe conducted in accordance with KRS Chapter 13B.","path":[],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=14918","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:57:15Z","sha256":"80ee1ac38eeb5aab19eaf0751c8690227f1a40d2655de1079a953d088f13dd7d","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-286.9-110","next":"us-ky/krs-286.9-125"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
