{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-286.9-991","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 286.9-991","heading":"Civil penalty for violation of subtitle.","body":"(1) The commissioner may levy a civil penalty against a person who violates any\nprovision of, or administrative regulation promulgated under, this subtitle or any\norder issued by the commissioner under this subtitle.\n(2) The civil penalty shall be not less tha n one thousand dollars ($1,000) or more than\nfive thousand dollars ($5,000) per violation for each day the violation is\noutstanding, plus the state's costs and expenses for the examination, investigation,\nand prosecution of this matter, including reasonable attorney's fees and court costs.\n(3) Any civil penalties imposed may be in addition to any other remedy or penalty\nimposed in this subtitle.","path":[],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=14924","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:57:15Z","sha256":"b273ce5e2500ba160df699d56a301f4cc03389c30732fa877e698e39f9e39859","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-286.9-990","next":"us-ky/krs-287.010"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
