{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-292.450","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 292.450","heading":"Unlawful representations concerning registration or exemption.","body":"(1) Neither the fact that an application for registration under KRS 292.330 or a\nregistration statement under KRS 292.350, 292.360, or 292.370 has been filed, nor\nthe fact that a person or security is effectively registered, constitutes a finding by the\ncommissioner that any document filed under this chapter is true, complete, and not\nmisleading.\n(2) Neither any such fact nor the fact that an exemption or exception is available for a\nsecurity or a transaction means that the commissioner has passed in any way up on\nthe merits or qualifications of, or recommended or given approval to, any person,\nsecurity, or transaction. It is unlawful to make, or cause to be made, to any\nprospective purchaser, customer, or client any representation inconsistent with this\nsection.\n(3) Neither the fact that a notice filing for a covered security or for a covered adviser\nhas been filed, nor the fact that the person, security, or transaction is registered or\nexempt from registration, constitutes a finding by the commissioner that any\ndocument filed under this chapter is true, complete, and not misleading or that the\nperson, security, or transaction is entitled to claim an exemption.\n(4) It is unlawful to make or cause to be made to any prospective purchaser, customer,\nor client any representation inconsistent with this section.","path":["KRS Chapter 292"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=15560","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:57:23Z","sha256":"0af6ebb5f83f6b368eae32a847ba2a99236060eb3f6299af303bb57596987fb2","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-292.440","next":"us-ky/krs-292.460"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
