{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-299.120","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 299.120","heading":"Annual statement of condition.","body":"Every company shall, by March 1 of each year, make and file with the commissioner a\nreport of its affairs and operations during the year ending on December 31 immediately\npreceding. The report shall be upon blank forms provided by the commissioner, and sha ll\nbe verified under oath by the duly authorized officers of the company, and the\ncommissioner shall publish it, or its substance, in his annual report. This annual report\nshall contain the following information: The number of policies issued or members\nadmitted during the year; the amount of indemnity effected thereby; the number of death\nlosses; the number of death losses paid; the amount received from each assessment in\neach class for the year; the total amount paid policyholders, beneficiaries, legal\nrepresentatives or heirs; the number of death claims for which assessments have been\nmade; the number of death claims compromised or resisted, and a brief statement of the\nreason; whether the company charges annual dues, and if so, how much on each one\nthousand dollars ($1,000) annually, or per capita, as the case may be; the total amount\nreceived and the disposition thereof; whether the company uses money received for\npayment of death claims to pay expenses, in whole or in part, and if so, the amount so\nused; the total amount of salaries paid to officers; whether the company guarantees a\nfixed amount to be paid regardless of the amount realized from assessments, dues,\nadmission fees and donations, and if so, the amount guaranteed and the security for such\nguarantee; whether the company has a reserve fund, and if so, how the reserve fund is\ncreated and for what purpose, the amount thereof and how invested; whether the company\nhas more than one (1) class, and if so, how many, the amount of indemnity in each clas s,\nand the number of members in each class; if organized under the laws of this state, under\nwhat law and at what time; the number of policies or memberships lapsed during the year;\nthe number of policies or memberships in force at the beginning and end of  the year in\neach class; the aggregate maximum, minimum and average age of membership in each\nclass; the assets applicable to life or casualty insurance, other than reserve fund, and how\ninvested; and the amount received from all sources for life or casual ty insurance and the\ndisposition thereof.","path":["KRS Chapter 299"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=15833","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:57:26Z","sha256":"1ef78a1849ae7c236a4ba1c3c5404759465382542dc507cdc9acd68103ba5281","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-299.110","next":"us-ky/krs-299.130"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
