{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-299.150","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 299.150","heading":"Insurable age -- Insurable interest -- Change of beneficiary.","body":"(1) No company shall issue a policy upon the life of any person more than sixty (60)\nyears of age, but in case of the transfer or reinsurance of members as provided in\nKRS 299.210 the foregoing limit of age shall not apply to members who have\nreached sixty (60) years since their membership began.\n(2) No company shall issue a policy upon any life in which the beneficiary named has\nno interest, and any assignment of a policy to a person having no interest in the\ninsured life shall be void.\n(3) A policyholder may at any time, with the consent of the company, make a change in\nhis beneficiary, without the consent of the beneficiary.","path":["KRS Chapter 299"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=15836","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:57:26Z","sha256":"06699640604131480b912d3444bc038de6c5f97b687598e8fd75f77c82748194","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-299.140","next":"us-ky/krs-299.160"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
