{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-3.050","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 3.050","heading":"Perryville battlefield to be conveyed to the United States.","body":"(1) Whenever the United States Congress enacts a law authorizing the United States to\ntake over the Perryville battlefield, now in the hands of the Division of Parks, the\nGovernor shall appoint a commissioner who shall make and execute on behalf of\nKentucky, a  deed conveying fee simple title to the United States for national\ncemetery or park purposes, in conformity with the provisions of the Act of Congress\nwhen enacted, seventeen and three -fourths (17.75) acres of land, more or less, in\nBoyle County, Kentucky, now owned and held by the Commonwealth of Kentucky,\ntogether with all improvements thereon and appurtenances thereunto belonging. The\nconveyance shall be made free of any cost or charge to the United States for the\nproperty conveyed. The commissioner may ascertain by survey or otherwise the\nmetes and bounds of the land conveyed and include in the deed an appropriate\ndescription of the land. The deed shall contain a clause to the effect that, when the\nUnited States shall cease to use or maintain the land co nveyed as a national\ncemetery or park, upon demand of the Governor of Kentucky, it shall revert to\nKentucky, and complete jurisdiction over it shall be again vested in Kentucky. The\ndeed shall be in a form agreeable to the provisions of the Act of Congress , when\nenacted.\n(2) When the conveyance to the United States is made, the jurisdiction of Kentucky\nshall thereby be ceded to and vested in the United States over the land conveyed.\nThe jurisdiction hereby ceded shall continue no longer than the United Stat es of\nAmerica shall own the land.","path":["KRS Chapter 3"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=87","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:48:21Z","sha256":"57e4217f01aaafe5b9d2f6224312f1fe5878db58351cf4ff5d800b49f695959a","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-3.040","next":"us-ky/krs-3.060"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
