No such insurer, employee, or\nrepresentative shall pay, allow, or give, or offer to pay, allow, or give, directly or\nindirectly, as an inducement to insurance or after insurance has been effected, any\nrebate, discount, abatement, credit or reduction of the premium named in a policy,\nor any special favor o r advantage in the dividends or other benefits to accrue\nthereon, or any valuable consideration or inducements whatever, or give, sell, or\npurchase, or offer to give, sell, or purchase anything of value whatsoever not\nspecified in the policy, except to the extent provided for in such applicable filing.\n(2) No insured named in a policy, nor any employee or representative thereof shall\nknowingly receive or accept, directly or indirectly, any such rebate, discount,\nabatement or reduction of premium, or any spe cial favor or advantage or valuable\nconsideration or inducement.\n(3) Subsection (1) and (2) of this section shall not apply as to life insurance and health\ninsurance. Except as expressly provided by law no insurer, employee, or\nrepresentative shall knowingly permit or offer to make or make any contract of life\ninsurance, life annuity or health insurance, or agreement as to such contract other\nthan as plainly expressed in the contract issued thereon, or pay or allow, or give or\noffer to pay, allow or give, d irectly or indirectly, as inducement to such insurance,\nor annuity, any rebate of premiums payable on the contract, or any special favor or\nadvantage in the dividends or other benefits thereon, or any valuable consideration\nor inducement whatever not expressed in the contract.","path":[],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=17020","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:57:41Z","sha256":"97604641fe1df4397b26c224d77634b7343895dfad9cbf405fa341fab85e6e37","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-304.12-087","next":"us-ky/krs-304.12-092"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
