{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-304.12-275","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 304.12-275","heading":"Claimant's right to repair facility of choice -- Appraisal of damaged","body":"vehicle to include notice of right to choose -- Exemption.\n(1) An insurer shall inform a claimant upon notification of a motor vehicle damage\nclaim that he or she has the right  to choose the repair facility of his or her choice to\nrepair a damaged vehicle.\n(2) After July 12, 2012, all appraisals shall include the following notice, printed in not\nless than ten (10) point, boldfaced type: \"NOTICE: UNDER KENTUCKY LAW,\nTHE CONSUMER AND/OR LESSEE HAS THE RIGHT TO CHOOSE THE\nREPAIR FACILITY TO MAKE REPAIRS TO HIS OR HER MOTOR VEHICLE.\"\n(3) The obligations set forth in this section shall not apply to the replacement or repair\nof automobile glass.","path":[],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=40253","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:57:42Z","sha256":"eeea9892066d09a02f0765f709dc166550d77dc0942fb7bb2a08f84c73521e57","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-304.12-270","next":"us-ky/krs-304.120"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
