{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-304.13-121","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 304.13-121","heading":"Authorized activities for advisory organizations.","body":"Any advisory organization in addition to other activities not prohibited, is authorized, on\nbehalf of its members and subscribers, to:\n(1) Collect statistical data from members, subscribers, or any other source;\n(2) Develop statistical plans including territorial and class definitions;\n(3) Prepare, file, and distribute prospective loss costs which may include provisions for\nspecial assessments. Loss costs, derived in part or entirely upon output form\nsimulation models, must be approved by the commissioner b efore they become\neffective;\n(4) Prepare, file, and distribute manuals of rating rules, rating schedules, and other\nsupplementary rating information that do not include final rates, expense provisions,\nprofit provisions, or minimum premiums;\n(5) Prepare, f ile, and distribute factors, calculations, or formulas pertaining to\nclassification, territory, increased limits, and other variables;\n(6) Distribute information that is required or directed to be filed with the commissioner;\n(7) Conduct research and on -site inspections in order to prepare classifications of\npublic fire defenses, and to consult with public officials regarding public fire\nprotection as it would affect members, subscribers and others;\n(8) Conduct research in order to discover, identify, and c lassify information relating to\ncauses or prevention of losses;\n(9) Conduct research relating to the impact of statutory changes upon prospective loss\ncosts and special assessments;\n(10) Prepare, file, and distribute policy forms and endorsements and consu lt with\nmembers, subscribers, and others relative to their use and application;\n(11) Conduct research and on -site inspections for the purpose of providing risk\ninformation relating to individual structures;\n(12) Conduct on -site inspections to determine rat ing classifications for individual\ninsureds;\n(13) For workers' compensation insurance, establish a committee which may include\ninsurance company representatives to review the determination of the rating\nclassification for individual insureds and suggest mo difications to the classification\nsystem, pursuant to KRS 304.13-167(1);\n(14) Collect, compile, and publish past and current prices of individual insurers, if such\ninformation is also made available to the public at a reasonable cost;\n(15) Collect and compile exposure and loss experience for the purpose of individual risk\nexperience ratings;\n(16) File final rates, at the direction of the commissioner, for residual market\nmechanisms; and\n(17) Furnish any other services, as approved or directe d by the commissioner, related to\nthose enumerated in this section.","path":[],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=17074","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:57:42Z","sha256":"6110167ef08622bd4568d799fe946faba877c476d51aad91a5f732db5d8388d3","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-304.13-120","next":"us-ky/krs-304.13-130"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
