{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-304.13-141","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 304.13-141","heading":"Examination of insurers, pools, advisory organizations, statistical","body":"agents, form providers, residual market, and joint underwriting organizations.\n(1) The commissioner may examine any insurer, pool, advisory organization, statistical\nagent, form pr ovider, or residual market or joint underwriting mechanism as\ndeemed necessary to ascertain compliance with this chapter. Any examination made\nby the commissioner or by examiners designated by the commissioner shall be at\nthe expense of the organization ex amined as specified in Subtitle 2 of KRS Chapter\n304.\n(2) Every insurer, pool, advisory organization, statistical agent, and residual market or\njoint underwriting mechanism shall maintain reasonable records, adapted to its\nmethod of operation, containing i ts experience or the experience of its members.\nRecords shall include the statistics and other information used by it in its activities.\nThe records shall be available at all reasonable times and at a reasonable location to\nenable the commissioner to deter mine whether the activities of an insurer, pool,\nadvisory organization, statistical agent, residual market or joint underwriting\nmechanism are in compliance with this chapter.\n(3) In lieu of an examination, the commissioner may accept the report of an\nexamination by the insurance supervisory official of another state, if the report is\nmade pursuant to the laws of that state.","path":[],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=17078","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:57:42Z","sha256":"c507711a8ba0e12d891e22a12eec75e87ddea8ea488d9a8a5476a50b4211dae9","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-304.13-140","next":"us-ky/krs-304.13-150"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
