{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-304.14-065","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 304.14-065","heading":"Definitions for section -- Insurable interest in shared car in peer-to-peer","body":"car sharing program -- Construction.\n(1) As used in this section, the following have the same meaning as in KRS 365.520:\n(a) \"Car sharing period\";\n(b) \"Car sharing program agreement\";\n(c) \"Peer-to-peer car sharing program\";\n(d) \"Shared vehicle\";\n(e) \"Shared vehicle driver\"; and\n(f) \"Shared vehicle owner.\"\n(2) Notwithstanding any other provision of this subtitle, a peer -to-peer car sharing\nprogram shall have an insur able interest in a shared vehicle during the car sharing\nperiod, which shall include owning and maintaining, as the named insured, one (1)\nor more policies of motor vehicle liability insurance that provides coverage for:\n(a) Liabilities assumed by the peer -to-peer car sharing program under a car\nsharing program agreement;\n(b) Any liability of the shared vehicle owner or shared vehicle driver; and\n(c) Damage or loss to the shared vehicle.\n(3) Nothing in this section creates liability on a peer -to-peer car sharing program to\nmaintain the coverage required under KRS 365.522.","path":[],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=53307","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:57:43Z","sha256":"a9bbbe2fae9fc102536d3be0c11d573730909830b6fa470ac87ae728ea4d40ec","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-304.14-060","next":"us-ky/krs-304.14-070"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
