{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-304.14-200","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 304.14-200","heading":"Underwriters' and combination policies.","body":"(1) Two (2) or more authorized insurers may jointly issue, and shall be jointly and\nseverally liable on, an underwriters' policy bearing their names. Any one (1) insurer\nmay issue policies in the name of an underwriter's department and such policies\nshall plainly show the true name of the insurer.\n(2) Two (2) or more authorized insurers may, with the commissioner's approval, issue a\ncombination policy which shall contain provisions substantially as follows:\n(a) That the insurers executing the policy shall be se verally liable for the full\namount of any loss or damage, according to the terms of the policy, or for\nspecified percentages or amounts thereof, aggregating the full amount of\ninsurance under the policy.\n(b) That service of process, or of any notice of pro of of loss required by such\npolicy, upon any of the insurers executing the policy, shall constitute service\nupon all such insurers.\n(3) This section shall not apply to co-surety obligations.","path":[],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=17140","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:57:43Z","sha256":"fa78eb67acda085473dc803b08e7581d42d3e75a63b627a1cadde5e10eaf70ab","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-304.14-190","next":"us-ky/krs-304.14-210"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
