{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-304.14-605","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 304.14-605","heading":"Purpose and application to policies of KRS 304.14-600 to 304.14-625.","body":"(1) The purpose of KRS 304.14 -600 to 304.14-625 is to promote the public interest, to\npromote the availability of long -term care insurance policies, to protect applicants\nfor long-term care insurance from unfair or deceptive sales or enrollment practices,\nto establish standards for long -term care insurance, to facilitate public\nunderstanding and comparison of long-term care insurance policies, and to facilitate\nflexibility and innovation in the development of long-term care insurance coverage.\n(2) The requirem ents of KRS 304.14 -600 to 304.14 -625 shall apply to policies\ndelivered or issued for delivery in this Commonwealth on or after July 14, 1992,\nexcept as stated in KRS 304.14 -610. KRS 304.14 -600 to 304.14 -625 are not\nintended to supersede the obligations of entities subject to KRS 304.14 -600 to\n304.14-625 to comply with the substance of other applicable insurance laws insofar\nas they do not conflict with KRS 304.14 -600 to 304.14 -625, except that laws and\nadministrative regulations designed and intended to app ly to Medicare supplement\ninsurance policies shall not be applied to long-term care insurance.","path":[],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=17176","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:57:43Z","sha256":"aab24bcf693aefd6ad9c401684486e2fe3ab206c51b4c2ccc664885e6a125829","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-304.14-600","next":"us-ky/krs-304.14-610"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
