{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-304.15-709","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 304.15-709","heading":"Remedies of department and of persons damaged by life settlement","body":"violations.\n(1) In addition to the penalties and other enforcement provisions of KRS 304.15 -020,\n304.15-700 to 304.15 -720, 304.42-190, and 304.99 -126, if any person violates any\nprovision of KRS 304.15 -020, 304.15-700 to 304.15-720, 304.42-190, and 304.99-\n126, or any administrative regulations promulgated under KRS 304.15-020, 304.15-\n700 to 304.15 -720, 304.42 -190, and 304.99 -126, the department may seek an\ninjunction in Franklin Circui t Court or in the Circuit Court of the county where the\nperson resides or has a principal place of business and may apply for temporary and\npermanent orders that the department determines necessary to restrain the person\nfrom committing the violation.\n(2) Any person damaged by the acts of a person in violation of any provision of KRS\n304.15-020, 304.15 -700 to 304.15 -720, 304.42 -190, and 304.99 -126 may bring a\ncivil action against the person in the Circuit Court of the county in which the\nalleged violator resides, or has a principal place of business, or in the county where\nthe alleged violation occurred.","path":[],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=17251","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:57:44Z","sha256":"e5905ad05516ebdf7fd22ebcbf26e9d52e1f139ea5ac0fd31ef9b08d701216d8","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-304.15-708","next":"us-ky/krs-304.15-710"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
