{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-304.15-712","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 304.15-712","heading":"Permitted and prohibited life insurance advertising and marketing.","body":"(1) A broker or provider licensed pursuant to KRS 304.15 -700 to 304.15 -720 may\nconduct or participate in advertisements within this state. Such advertisements shall\ncomply with all advertising and marketing laws of this chapter or rules and\nadministrative regulations promulgated by the commissioner that are applicable to\nlife insurers or to brokers, and providers licensed pursuant to this chapter.\n(2) Advertisements shall be accurate, truthful, and not misleading in fact or by\nimplication.\n(3) No person or trust shall:\n(a) Directly or indirectly market, advertise, solicit, or otherwise promote the\npurchase of a life insurance policy for the sole purpose of, or with a primary\nemphasis on, settling the policy; or\n(b) Except as provided in KRS 304.12 -092, use t he words \"free,\" \"no cost,\" or\nwords of similar import in the marketing, advertising, soliciting, or otherwise\npromoting the purchase of a life insurance policy.","path":[],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=52656","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:57:44Z","sha256":"3aa31a392088c1b1ecd369aaed6c899ff71bc2518fbf8c303f0989ee8072c959","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-304.15-710","next":"us-ky/krs-304.15-715"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
