{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-304.16-110","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 304.16-110","heading":"Provisions required in group contracts.","body":"No policy of group life insurance shall be delivered in this state unless it contains in\nsubstance the standard provisions as required by KRS 304.16 -120 to 304.16 -210,\ninclusive, or provisions which in the opinion of the commissioner are more favorable to\nthe individuals insured, or at least as favorable to such individuals and more favorable to\nthe policyholders; except, that:\n(1) Provisions set forth in KRS 304.16 -170 to 304.16-210, inclusive, shall not apply to\npolicies issued to a creditor to insure its debtors;\n(2) If the group life insurance policy is on a plan of insurance other than the term plan,\nit shall contain a nonforfeiture provision or provisions which in the opinion of the\ncommissioner is or are equitable to the insured persons and to the pol icyholder, but\nsuch nonforfeiture benefits are not required to be the same as those required for\nindividual life insurance policies;\n(3) The standard provisions required for individual life insurance policies shall not\napply to group life insurance policies.","path":[],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=17273","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:57:45Z","sha256":"d33c2805607ef05c1ed2d8ced99690f057abc6e692accf1ee40e1a8dd55a8abe","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-304.16-100","next":"us-ky/krs-304.16-115"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
