{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-304.17a-135","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 304.17A-135","heading":"Coverage for treatment of breast cancer.","body":"(1) Health benefit plans which provide benefits for treatment of breast cancer by\nchemotherapy shall also provide coverage for treatment of breast cancer by high -\ndose chemotherapy with autologous bone marrow transplantation or stem cell\ntransplantation.\n(2) The administration of high -dose chemotherapy with autologous bone marrow\ntransplantation or stem cell transplantation shall only be covered when performed in\ninstitutions that comply with the guidelines of the American Society for Blood and\nMarrow Transplant ation or the International Society of Hematotherapy and Graft\nEngineering, whichever has the higher standard.\n(3) Treatment of breast cancer by high -dose chemotherapy with autologous bone\nmarrow transplantation or stem cell transplantation shall not be con sidered\nexperimental or investigational.
