{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-304.17a-720","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 304.17A-720","heading":"Administrative regulations for standardized health claim attachments","body":"-- Conformity with federal standards.\n(1) In order to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the health care system\nthrough administrative simplification of billing requirem ents, the commissioner\nshall prescribe, through the promulgation of administrative regulations,\nstandardized health claim attachments to be used by all insurers requiring additional\nmedical information to process health care claims. The Kentucky State Unif orm\nBilling Committee shall make recommendations to the commissioner on the\nstandardization of attachments.\n(2) Any administrative regulations that prescribe standardized health claim attachments\nshall be updated to conform with federal standards following  the release of national\nrequirements for transactions and data elements in accordance with the Federal\nHealth Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996, 42 U.S.C.
