{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-304.17a-750","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 304.17A-750","heading":"Definitions for KRS 304.17A-750 to 304.17A-770 and 304.47-020.","body":"As used in KRS 304.17A -750 to 304.17A -770 and 304.47 -020, unless the context\nrequires otherwise:\n(1) \"Eligible employee\" means any full time or part time employee who is actively\nengaged in the conduct of business of the employer, who has satisfied any employer\nwaiting period requirements, and who has been given a voucher by the employer to\npurchase a health benefit plan;\n(2) \"Eligible person\" means an employer, eligible employee, self -employed person,\nunemployed person, or retiree who is not eligible for Medicare;\n(3) \"Employer\" means any corporation, partnership, sole proprietorship, or other\nbusiness entity doing business in Kentucky that provides a voucher for a health\nbenefit plan to its eligible employees to purchase a health benefit plan;\n(4) \"Insurance purchasing outlet\" means a business entity licensed as an administrator\nin accordance with Subtitle 9 of Chapter 304, which collects premiums and\nvouchers from or on behalf of health purchasing outlet members, and which is\nissued a certificate of regist ration in accordance with KRS 304.17A -750 to\n304.17A-770 and 304.47-020;\n(5) \"Insurance purchasing outlet member\" means an eligible person, including a\ndependent of an eligible person, who is enrolled in a health benefit plan offered\nthrough an insurance purchasing outlet by a participating insurer;\n(6) \"Participating insurer\" means an authorized insurer that contracts with an insurance\npurchasing outlet to provide coverage to insurance purchasing outlet members\nunder a health benefit plan; and\n(7) \"Voucher\" means an instrument that is issued to an eligible employee by an\nemployer to purchase a health benefit plan.","path":[],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=29350","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:57:48Z","sha256":"192da027ea2d5630b388af3f5d5477abba2b10edd627afe98de523296db35b7f","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-304.17a-747","next":"us-ky/krs-304.17a-752"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
