{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-304.17b-013","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 304.17B-013","heading":"Premium rates for health benefit plans under Kentucky Access.","body":"(1) The schedule of rates, premium rates charged to enrollees, deductible amounts,\ncopayment amounts, coinsurance amounts, and other cost -sharing amounts shall be\nestablished by the Office of Health Data and Analytics. Premium rates charged to\nenrollees are not intended to fully cover the cost of providing health care coverage\nto Kentucky Access enrollees, and any claims in excess of premium rates shall be\ncovered by the Kentucky Access fund.\n(2) Premium rates for health benefit plans provided under Kentucky Access shall bear a\nreasonable relationship to each other. Premium rates shall be varied based on age\nand gender. The initial premium rates for plan coverage shall not exceed one\nhundred fifty percent (150%) of the applicable individual standard risk rates, as\nestablished by the department. In no event shall premium rates exceed one hundred\nseventy-five percent (175%) of the rates applicable to individual standard risks.\n(3) Premium rates for coverage issued by Kentucky Access shall be established\nannually by  the office, using reasonable actuarial principles, and shall reflect\nanticipated experience and expenses for risks under Kentucky Access.","path":[],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=48817","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:57:48Z","sha256":"e84031ce398391f1634394834293db58adac29422064926df5a32a4d46761752","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-304.17b-011","next":"us-ky/krs-304.17b-015"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
