{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-304.2-130","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 304.2-130","heading":"Enforcement.","body":"(1) The commissioner may invoke the aid of the courts through injunction or other\nproper process, mandatory or otherwise, to enjoin any existing or threatened\nviolation of any provision of this code, or to enforce any proper order made by him\nor her or action taken by him or her.\n(2) If the commissioner has reason to believe that any person has violated any provision\nof this code, or other law applicable to insurance operations, for which criminal\nprosecution is provided and in his or her opinion would be in or der, the\ncommissioner shall give the information relative thereto to the appropriate\nCommonwealth attorney or to the Attorney General. The Commonwealth attorney\nor Attorney General shall promptly institute such action or proceedings against such\nperson as in his or her opinion the information may require or justify.\n(3) Whenever the commissioner may deem it necessary, he or she may employ counsel,\nor call upon the Attorney General of this state for legal counsel and such assistance\nas may be necessary.\n(4) The Attorney General upon request of the commissioner is authorized to proceed in\nthe courts of any other state or in any federal court or agency to enforce an order or\ndecision in any court proceeding or in any administrative proceeding before the\ncommissioner.","path":[],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=16660","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:57:36Z","sha256":"f34969f07da2a93dc60a398a35a0180f3ef6840ed9ad85aefafae694aae5f222","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-304.2-120","next":"us-ky/krs-304.2-140"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
