{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-304.2-195","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 304.2-195","heading":"Interstate compacts for issuing certificates of authority.","body":"(1) The commissioner may enter into interstate compacts for issuing certificates of\nauthority to insurers if the commissioner determines that:\n(a) Each state participating in the compact has requirements for issuing\ncertificates of authority that provide prote ctions substantially similar to or\ngreater than the requirements of this subtitle; or\n(b) The interstate compact contains requirements for issuing certificates of\nauthority that provide protections substantially similar to or greater than the\nrequirements of this subtitle.\n(2) In lieu of the documents required in KRS 304.3 -150 to be filed with an application\nfor certificate of authority, the commissioner may accept documentation in\naccordance with the terms of the interstate compact.\n(3) The commissioner may issue certificates of authority to insurers in accordance with\nthe terms of the interstate compact.","path":[],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=16669","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:57:36Z","sha256":"a94025b7cdeb735d45bcb1707820b84d52247c82e743bce00b2fa35f4b49dc24","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-304.2-190","next":"us-ky/krs-304.2-200"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
