{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-304.2-240","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 304.2-240","heading":"Appraisal of asset.","body":"(1) If the commissioner deems it necessary to value any asset involved in such an\nexamination, he or she may make written request of the person being examined to\nappoint one or more appraisers who by reason of education, experience or special\ntraining and disi nterest, are competent to appraise the asset. Selection of any such\nappraiser shall be subject to the written approval of the commissioner. If no such\nappointment is made within twenty (20) days after the request therefor was\ndelivered to such person, the commissioner may appoint the appraiser or appraisers.\n(2) Any such appraisal shall be expeditiously made, and a copy thereof furnished to the\ncommissioner and to the person being examined.\n(3) The reasonable expense of the appraisal shall be borne by the p erson being\nexamined.","path":[],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=16675","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:57:37Z","sha256":"58e74cecae5f0ae1ac740b057fe5574fcacd0b080cdb2b631ed7c55f73bad63a","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-304.2-230","next":"us-ky/krs-304.2-250"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
