{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-304.25-030","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 304.25-030","heading":"Emergency bylaws.","body":"(1) With the approval of the commissioner, any domestic organization may, at any\ntime, adopt, in the same manner as in the case of ordinary bylaws, emergency\nbylaws to become operative during a period of acute emergency. Emergency bylaws\nmay contain provisions  with respect to the number of directors capable of acting\nwhich shall constitute its board, the number of such directors which shall constitute\na quorum at a meeting of the board, the number of votes necessary for action by\nsuch board, the manner in which  vacancies on the board shall be filled, the line of\nsuccession of its officers, and the interim management of the affairs of the insurance\norganization; such provisions, if approved by the commissioner, need not comply\nwith the requirement of the charter of such domestic organization or of the\ninsurance or incorporation laws of this state.\n(2) KRS 304.25-040 and subsections (2) to (6), inclusive, of KRS 304.25-050, shall not\nbe applicable during a period of acute emergency to any domestic organization\noperating in accordance with and under emergency bylaws theretofore approved by\nthe commissioner.","path":[],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=29595","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:57:51Z","sha256":"c5bf5f4e2f196aaaa13e80e9c8063e84e9b053fad659e1fcaa7f13109801d1c3","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-304.25-020","next":"us-ky/krs-304.25-040"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
