{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-304.30-040","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 304.30-040","heading":"Action by commissioner on application.","body":"(1) Upon the filing of an application and the payment of the license fee, the\ncommissioner shall make an investigation of each applicant and shall issue a license\nif the applicant is qualified in accordance with this subtitle. If the commissioner\ndoes not so f ind, he or she shall, within sixty (60) days after he or she has received\nthe application, at the request of the applicant, give the applicant an administrative\nhearing. Hearings under this subtitle shall be conducted in accordance with KRS\nChapter 13B.\n(2) The commissioner shall issue or renew a license as may be applied for when he or\nshe is satisfied that the person to be licensed:\n(a) Is competent and trustworthy and intends to act in good faith in the capacity\ninvolved by the license applied for;\n(b) Has a good business reputation and has had experience, training, or education\nso as to be qualified in the business for which the license is applied for; and\n(c) If a corporation, is a corporation incorporated under the laws of this state or a\nforeign corporation authorized to transact business in this state.","path":[],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=29748","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:57:53Z","sha256":"cb582f80ff4e82ed432b42f75f4e8954483cbcd31168e309e532770b9f4c44b3","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-304.30-030","next":"us-ky/krs-304.30-050"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
