{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-304.30-060","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 304.30-060","heading":"Books and records.","body":"(1) Every licensee shall maintain records of its premium finance transactions and the\nrecords shall be open to examination and investigation by the commissioner.\n(2) Every licensee shall preserve its records of premium finance transactions, including\ncards used in a card system, for at least five (5) years after making the final entry in\nrespect to any premium finance agreement. The preservation of records in\nphotographic form shall constitute compliance with this requirement.\n(3) For the purpose of determining  market conduct, business practices, financial\ncondition, ability to fulfill and manner of fulfillment of its obligations, the nature of\nits operations, and compliance with law, the commissioner shall examine the\naffairs, transactions, accounts, records, and assets of each licensed premium finance\ncompany as often as reasonably necessary.\n(4) Premium finance companies shall be subject to the provisions of KRS 304.2 -220,\n304.2-230, 304.2 -240, 304.2 -250, 304.2 -260, 304.2 -270, 304.2 -280, 304.2 -290,\n304.2-300, and Subtitle 2 of this chapter for determining financial condition, market\nconduct, and business practices.","path":[],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=29750","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:57:53Z","sha256":"b6cc12c1982c9dd25407ba56d164fff18bbae3d20e60cb672ed830da792fff7f","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-304.30-050","next":"us-ky/krs-304.30-070"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
