{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-304.30-090","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 304.30-090","heading":"Maximum service charge.","body":"(1) A premium finance company shall not charge, contract for, receive, or collect a\nservice charge other than as permitted by the subtitle.\n(2) The service charge is to be computed on the balance of the premiums due (after\nsubtracting the down payment made by the insured in accordance with the premium\nfinance agreement) from the effective date of the insurance coverage, for which the\npremiums are being advanced, to and including the date when the final installment\nof the premium finance agreement is payable.\n(3) The service charge shall be a maximum of twelve dollars ($12) per one hundred\ndollars ($100) per year plus an additional charge of fifteen dollars ($15) per\npremium finance contract which need not be refunded upon cancellation or\nprepayment.","path":[],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=29753","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:57:53Z","sha256":"0c87f8fd8b546b74eec4f8474c787beda95b381c728c464c070832ca09a01f93","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-304.30-080","next":"us-ky/krs-304.30-100"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
