{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-304.32-157","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 304.32-157","heading":"Indemnity payable for services performed by optometrists, osteopaths,","body":"podiatrists, physicians or chiropractors.\n(1) When any contract, plan or policy issued in this state by any corporation subject to\nthe provisions of this subtitle provides for re imbursement for any service which is\nwithin the lawful scope of practice of an optometrist duly licensed as provided in\nKRS Chapter 320, the insured or other person entitled to benefits under such\ncontract, plan or policy shall be entitled to reimbursement  for such services,\nwhether such services are performed by a duly licensed physician, osteopath,\npodiatrist, or optometrist, notwithstanding any provision contained in such policy,\nor if the policy so provides, payment may be made directly to the provider of the\nservices.\n(2) When any contract, plan or policy issued in this state by any corporation subject to\nthe provisions of this subtitle provides for reimbursement for any service which is\nwithin the lawful scope of practice of a chiropractor duly license d under KRS\nChapter 312, the insured or other person entitled to reimbursement for such\nservices, whether such services are performed by a duly licensed physician,\nosteopath, podiatrist or chiropractor, notwithstanding any provision contained in\nsuch polic y; or if the policy so provides, payment may be made directly to the\nprovider of the services.","path":[],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=29785","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:57:54Z","sha256":"4559e3d1636cdcc44c6a976e6022db0a27302538fa59095e9c7bb341196d7262","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-304.32-156","next":"us-ky/krs-304.32-158"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
